After last year’s successful canoeing trip on the Wye with only two swimmers, there have been requests to have another trip.

Dates have been set for this as Sat 25 / Sun 26th June.

We will be canoeing a higher stretch of the river this year. Interested parties so far are:

Any more interested as I want to get this booked in with our friendly canoe hire supremo and book camping arrangements.

Costs will be about 45 quid for canoe hire and transporting + campsite fees and food.

Further details:

The cars will now stay at Hoarwithy. David will bring paddles & jackets to us and collect us from Hoarwithy and take us to Hereford on Sat morning. When we are picked up at Ross on Sunday we will come back to the campsite rather than the canoe base.

I have booked a table for 11 for 8pm at the New Harp Inn. Keith & myself will cook at the campsite (new Braai grill to play with). If anyone else did not want to go to the pub then let me know so I can reduce the booking to be fair to the pub.

Please remember sun cream, hats, waterproofs – jackets and trousers (useful for protection from the wind too) and footwear you don’t mind getting wet

You will need LUNCH FOOD for both days and breakfast etc.

There are no showers at the campsite, just toilets.
