Date for your diaries!!… A weekend in Lichfield 2nd and 3rd September.
We are thinking of:
Saturday a tour of Lichfield and/or local area during the day and in the evening a picnic in the park for the Proms:
Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park
Sunday Cycle possibly on the Chase.
We are looking at booking the following campsite for the Lichfield weekend. It is £5 per night per person and has basic facilities ie 1 shower, 2 toilets and no electric but if we have a minimum of 5 pitches we get the campsite to ourselves. It is a working farm and in a nice area on the outskirts of Lichfield. This may mean that we will have to get a taxi back from the Proms but it is only a short distance and therefore would only be a couple of pound at most each way.
If you are still interested I would be grateful if you could get back to me ASAP ideally Monday 15th August as we will need to pay a £25 deposit to book this weekend with the farm.
As well as the Proms in the Park on the Saturday night we can also visit places of interest like Lichfield Cathedral, The National Arboretum in Alrewas and Cannock Chase.
