On Friday night, we were all treated to a spectacular sunset over the lake as a beautiful backdrop to food and drinks and stories.
That was followed by a gradually developing cool mist that contrasted with the heat of the day. Until… The silent eerily still conditions developed further into a very eery silvery grey that enveloped everything. That soon completely hid the bright supermoon for us all to later spookily bed down under The Fog…
Next morning bright and still not breezy, various groups headed off for cycling and exploring and to rendezvous with more of the group for the day for (some very light/slow) sailing. Our sub-group decided to enjoy the heat of the day at Barnsdale Gardens famously developed by Geoff Hamilton for the long running BBC series “Gardeners’ World.”
Here are a few bright pictures for my small part. (Let me know to add any others.)
