Nottingham Ghost Walk

After much ghostlyness, here is advanced notice of the long awaited Nottingham Ghost Walk!

Briefly: Meet in Nottingham for a 2pm walk around and under the city centre area, various tea/coffee/beer/snacks stops, some food, followed by more exploring until late into the evening.

Meet 1pm here if staying over (please email for where) and we then go onwards to the city centre on the bus. Floorspace and camping space available.

For a bit more of the detail: 🙂

This is a mini-tour of the scarier and more interesting parts of the city centre, along with a few snippets of stories of the past. The itinerary is highly flexible depending on how we progress past various establishments along whatever nefarious routes. There’s a fair bit of walking and climbing so good attire for walking the pavements and cobbles is essential. We’ll aim to break about 5pm for food and recovery before descending into the evening…

  • 1pm meet for those staying over. Please email or contact me direct for details.
  • 2pm meet outside Yates’s Wine Lodge, 49 Long Row, Nottingham NG1 6JB, by the tram lines at the north-west corner of Old Market Square (Google Map).
  • Wander around
  • 5pm-ish food
  • Onwards until spooked out or closing time.

For those driving, the best option is to use one of the park-and-rides or to stay over. There’s Nottingham station for those romantic for the train. There’s also the tram from the park-and-rides on the northern side. There’s even the good old fashioned bus!

People are welcome for the full tour or for part or to find us part way around.

Special note for certain people: Note that this is a ‘Ghost Walk’. We will be passing many shops (shoppes)… However, we are not actually ‘shopping’ (shoppeeing). Hence, strictly no shoe or boot or clothes shops will be entered! No shop window loitering either! Nor any window shopping (gandering)! Miscreants will be forthwith promptly abandoned to spook us later, if they might ever find us again!

(The shoppers have their own session for the morning. Remember to bring a rucksack to comfortably carry whatever treasure was found.)

((Depending on progress and participation, our food stop may well be staggered ‘tapas-style’ across multiple hauntings. We’ll see where the spirits and others lead us… 😉 ))

Should be a ghoulishly fun time!

Let me know for who’s interested,

And a spookily good time was had!
